
The Classic Cars and Cheerleaders Parade will kick off Alexandria’s family-oriented Mardi Gras weekend. On Friday, February 28th. The Classic Cars and Cheerleaders follows the same route as the Children’s Parade in downtown Alexandria. It features classic cars paired with cheerleaders from schools and cheer/dance teams in Central Louisiana. Deadline to register your car is February 21st.
-The Alexandria Children’s Parade will roll Saturday March 1st at 10am. It will roll in Downtown Alexandria – on Murray to Fifth Street, Jackson to Third Street and on to St. James Street Contact: Jenna Bonner at 318-542-9084 for more details.
-The Alexandria Mardi Gras Association’s Krewes Parade will roll Sunday, March 2nd at 2pm. (Route:Texas Avenue – Masonic – Memorial – North Boulevard – Sam’s Club). Each Mardi Gras Parade Krewe has a unique history and theme. Some have been around for decades, while others have been in existence for just a few years. Check out these unique organizations as they roll through Alexandria.
